Just missed a very tall tined buck with the van last night in Burt. He was chasing a couple of does through the orchards. Saw the 2 does just as they cleared the road and thought where there is 2 there is usually a 3rd, so on went the brakes and he crossed about 5 ft in front of the bumper.

Thanks for sparing him, Steelie Bum. There's been a quite a bit of that going on around here. Most haven't been as lucky. They say they keep cycling until all does are bred successfully. The late born bucks are where we get those little spikes even in great habitat. Funny how they hold the racks longer up north, but down in the tier they drop in December.

Had twenty cross in front of me on ewings rd in newfane a few nights ago. Big long line of them and you could see a few more standing in the snow out on the field. A few nights before that I destroyed the front of my truck on a doe. There still alot of them out there. Along with a ton of front end parts to my truck
