autopilot selection

Hey guys,

im in the market for a autopilot. i have a chance to pick up a Raymarine E12120 discontinued corpack for a good price. the E12120 drive states it will support a ram between 4.9CuIN to 10.5CuIN. the ram on my boat is a 10.2CuIN ram.

will the pilot operate well with this ram or should i look for a different unit with more capacity. the boat is a 31 tiara.

Raymarine states that if your boat weight is more than 20,000 LBS you cannot use it .... Do you know the weight .

the boat weighs around 12,000lbs.
