Jeremy,

so far you are the first I've heard of that has needed any service on a Scotty rigger. but if you are going to be in Olcott this spring again, The Boat Doctors is an authorized repair center.

I'll second for fish307.com they have been great. there are detailed drawings and part labels on the website. If you are handy at all I'm sure you can get the parts online there and fix the problem yourself.

whats the issue? perhaps one of the Scotty Pro Staff could help you and avoid the shipping?

Plastic parts is more than likely the issue :P .

Operator error is my guess

No seriously, Jeremy give them a call they were great and able to get my problem solved with the (switches) when I first got mine.

Downriggers weren't made to bounce wights off the bottom all day long. AKA Laker fishing! "Controlled Depth" fishing is what they were made for. You should try thumper rigs and save your riggers the hassle!

Ok Ok Ok yes Rick I Do fish for lake Trout, This downrigger is not one that I use for that though. I am going to try troubleshooting it once I get the boat home.

I will definatly give Fish307 a call for parts and service questions. Thanks for the info and input guys!! 8)
