Thanks for posting Tom. These are very important to attend. In this era, all State expenditures are extremely scrutinized.

It sends a clear message as to the importance of these meetings, and the fishery overall, if they are well attended. Try to attend at least the closest one to you. Indifference will kill this fishery faster than Asian carp.

Ditto Vince. The more guys that show up, the better for the fishery. I've attended for quite a few years and these DEC guys are very willing to talk to the fishermen. Charters & Rec's.

Thanks for posting Tom. I go every year as I feel it's important to be as informed as possible about our fishery, and also to make our voices heard.

Just got home from the Niagara County fishery advisory board mtg. 2 DEC reps who hold high positions were the guests. When expressing their frustration with the budgetary constraints of NYS, they emphatically expressed how important a great turnout at the "state of the lake" meetings are. They stressed that poorly attended meetings of this type send a message to State government that this fishery is "no big deal."

Please try to make these meetings, and get others to do so.

Monday, March 14th at Rochester. R.I.T. Campus, Jefferson Road. If there is anything you don't like regarding our fishery, attend this meeting and let the powers to be know about it. Don't sit back and just complain about things, have the balls to show up at the meeting. Sorry for the verbige, but as they say, money talks, and bulls### walks. So be there if you can.
