Fishing the Banks of L.O.

We will be making our 28th trip to Fairhaven State park in about three weeks from Charlotte, NC. I can't wait to wet the line off the piers at the park. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what lures will help us land some repectable fish from the pier. We fish at the park every year but never really catch much. We will be trying the blue light at night but need some new ideas during the day.

Do your self a favor and book a local charter captain. That area (along with the rest of the lake) is smoking hot for trout and salmon.

Another thing you can do is go to Anchor Resort and rent a boat. Their web site is www.anchor-resort.com . There is good bass fishing in little sodus bay. Good luck!

Can you buy both a full day and half day trips? About how much is the cost?

most charters offer 4, 6, 8 or more hours for charters. This site should give you an idea for rates and if I was going to take a charter out of Fairhaven it would be with this guy. Billy V. has a pretty good idea on how to catch fish on the lake and would definately be worth your money if he has availability.http://www.billyvsportfishing.com/
