Took a ride down to the bay this morning, before we got any bait we decided to check the ice first.Drove over to third creek, it has opened up very nicely, the bay bridge is wide open, might be a good spot for some early crappy, drove around to Connleys and the ice is opening up all along that shore.We could see open water between Newark and Eagle island and the out side bay ( north end) is open. The next few days should finish it off. Guess I'll put the shanty away and hook up the boat and see if the light's still work. I know there's still some good ice out there but its not good enough for me. See ya at the boat ramp.
