After several requests to post this I'm sharing a few pics of a reproduction steelhead I just finished for a client. Modern reproductions are NOTHING like the older ones that had thick fins and no detail. A good paint job on a good reproduction looks at least as good as a skin mount and will last longer.

Beautiful Paul! This type of work is going to spare many giant trout that are only harvested for a skin mount. I tell people "you can hang them over a wood-burning fireplace or take them in the shower with you". Family heirlooms that will last.

just caught a beautifull atlantic but i didnt take measurments or weight but i did take a couple pics which i will post later...my point is i might have been calling you...i didnt have nothing to measure it with and wanted to release it quikly..was on of my top fishing moments!!
