Difficulty Removing Cannon Lexan base from swivel mount

Hi Gang,

I have lexan bases attached to my cannon swivel mounts. Two of the lexan bases are cracked and I need to remove them however the phillips head mega bolts holding these on won't budge. Any tricks on getting these off? Prior to sending it off to the barn for the winter I shot WD 40 in it in the hopes that it will free it up but I have my doubts.

A good phillips #3 standard screwdriver or a sharp rap with an impact driver should break them loose.

If all else fails drill the heads off remove the plates from the swivel base and throw the cracked plates away. .

Hand impact tool that you hit with a hammer should do it. Put neverseize on the new screws. The stainless steel machine screws and the alumimum plate were never good friends.
