Short Copper Reels

Well, as the season is quickly approaching I am in need of some advice about some copper reel set-ups.

Right now I have CV 55 set up with 300, 45# copper. I am wondering if there is a more economical choice if I am going to spool a reel up with a 200' and 150'.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a decent reel that will hold these lengths, that does not break the bank?

I would look for a couple 45 Okuma's. You can use penn 330's as well. You can fit 100' on a Penn 320.

Rob, do you think I can get 300 copper on the 45?

I have my 200 coppers on Penn 230GTOs. I can fit a ton of backing on as well. I just checked and one of my 300's is on a Okuma 45. No problems with that reel as well.
