Wire

Hi. I have not used wire for trolling ever,I am thinking I might give it a shot this year as the fleas are irritating out there and when you get a nice fish on and you can t get it in because of the fleas. I have used braid and mono only, my question is, can any reel be strung with wire ? I have an extra Convector that I would like to load up with,but am not sure if one needs a specific reel for wire.

Have you tried flea flicker mono, or 30 lb test that helps alot with the fleas.

Hi Al, Wire will serve you better. Your reel is a good one, if it is a # 30 or 45. I've used Torpedo Wire since it came out . Their web site is: http://www.torpedodivers.com/ .

The torpedo wire 19 strand is great. I havent seen the new smoked yet but that is the next purchase
