Not sure about Bronte. But saw a ton of Rainbows running up 16 Mile Creek earlier in the week. I was debating on heading back to the house to suit up, but a thunderstorm made the decision for me.

Darren, this site will not allow me to send a PM. Guess Im a newbie.

Regarding the location of the Rainbows, I was walking my dog in paths by Sky Valley Cres. (Lions Valley Park). There are a few nice size pools on that stretch of 16-Mile. I saw a couple come flying out of the first pool south of the walking bridge at the bottom of the Sky Valley Path.

I haven't fished it in a long time, but should be perfect to try and hook your son's first Steelie. You can park at Sky Valley Cresent and have your lines wet within 5 Min.

P.S- If you aren't familiar with Sky Valley Trail, be aware that the path down to the creek is about 50 degrees. A breeze to go down, a **** to come up.

Would be interested to know whether Bronte is in fact fishable after this rain? 16 mile was not great yesterday and after last night's rain will be like coffee for a couple of days. Depending on the precip. it should definitely be worth a try later in the week though.
