Does anyone use,or have any experience with the Shimano TDR Triton rigger rods?

Fish Usa has them on sale and i was thinking about picking a couple up for spares.I was thinking about trying the 8'6" medium 12-20 lb model, and was wondering what action it has.

Currently, i'm running Ugly sticks, and Okuma classics for my salmon rods, and Fenwicks for spring salmon.

I really like the Ugly sticks, but i wish they had a bit more backbone like the Okumas do.

I'd like to know if the Shimanos have too much or not enough backbone.

If anyone has any info, on the Shimanos,i'd appreciate hearing about them .

Thanks all

John don't know how much the Shimano poles are but I have been using Eagle claws for 20yrs and they work great and you can't beat the price :D

Captain Bob Sogin of Reel Excitement at the Oak told us at a seminar that he uses the E. Claws too  :)

Just y 2 cents :!:

I've been running tritons on Erie with my 4 and 5 color cores, and

was until this year also using them for small divers off the boards

with power pro. I'm slowing changing over to Okuma's for other reasons, but the tritons are a very sturdy rod.
