Hye guys,

I am really itching the get up this year and I am thiking about tomorrow and saturday but the wind forecast for saturday has be second guessing myself. NOAA is calling for 15-25 out of the southeast then shifting to the west. I only have a 17 footer but would I think I would be able to fish the morning as long as i stay tight to shore. Any thoughts?

A southeast wind won't be a problem fishing tight to shore out of Oswego.

West will.

They are usually hitting Browns in the Harbor at this time of year.

Should be OK in the Harbor.

Worst case scenario you can get out for an hour or two.....then hang at the dock with the guys and talk about the upcoming season! Either way it gets ya out of the house, but as Glen said SE should be fine.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don’t think I am going to make it up as both of my go to fishing partners have dropped out.

Just stay away from those guys on the red dock. They're wolves in sheep's clothing & they're dangerously misleading. Once they find out you have beer on yer boat they won't let ya go.

My thoughts are "ewww! east wind!" however like Yankee said "gets ya out of the house". I plan on launching at Hugh's Friday and I am in a 16 footer.

Good Luck everyone!

Making note to stay off red dock at Oswego
