Despite a gut feeling that things may be to muddy I made my second trip up to Lake O with my Dad, it was his first trip for spring fishing up there. Yes it was muddy, very muddy. We looked for some color breaks and found one where a creek entered that was dumping in some clearer water. It almost seemed to cut a channel of water that was fishable. We pounded that area and were rewarded with many hits and some nice fish. We even took fish in the mud. Bright sticks were key, nothing on naturals. Took some nice fish with one brown over 10. The Atlantic was a little guy at 18 inches.

I think we got a little spoiled for this being a new brand of fishing to us. Lost something huge, possibly a king that busted off. It was flying out of the water as it peeled line off.
