GPS/ Fish finder combo

Looking to purchase a fish finder and GPS combo unit. I am not looking for a top of the line unit, something middle of the road. A good unit with a good price. Any suggestions?

I really like my Garmin 540S. I have always run Garmin fishinders and have had great luck with them too. Can't speak to their customer service as I have never needed it.

I bought a lowrance elite 5x last year decent for the money and u have the option to upgrade the map packages. The only trouble I have is when fishing deepwater i cannot set my range to the top 150 without loosing my picture even when in splitscreen.

Not knowing how you define middle of the road...and assuming you value the sonar over the GPS (Garmin would be the choice if GPS > Sonar...but who goes that way??) I suggest a Humminbird 788ci or 858c.

Thanks for all the info. Just purchased a Humm. 788 with chip. Already had it installed. Now we just need to figure out how to use it.
