Two days in Watkins

The wife and I spent two days fishing out of Clute park, We did fairly well a few lakers and an assortment of LL's. We released all but one for dinner tomorrow. Slept @ Villager motel, it was terrible! Water coming in under the door and a mattress that should have been burned long ago. Usually I sleep in the boat but the wife wanted to stay on a motel.... She was sorry...

well next time if their is one consider Sampson State Park ,they have slips with power and a short walk up the hill will have ya a hot shower,plus save ya 20 miles to watkins..., justa thought .

There is always a next time Ray. One bad motel will never deter us from the lake, there are planty of places to stay in Watkins. Sampson is 20 minutes further for us coming from the South.
