Took my dad for first trip of 2011. Started near the mudline in 40'. Trolled out to 130' where there were more boats. Got a small bow on Mt Dew SD/ hammer fly, 35' down, 20' back, 135' water. Switched other rigger to MT Dew crush SD/ sweet pea fly and within 5 minutes had a nice king stripping some line. 39' down, 20' back 145' water. Pulled the planner boards in and switched to dipsies w/spoons. Got a nice laker on yellow dipsey 2.5 setting with NK NBK. Thanks to Longline for much needed advice. Was nice to see my dad land 2 fish. Just too bad for him king was 2nd taken.

Never got a weight. My dad was guessing 25? Brought it home to show the kids and I plan on smoking it this week. Was nice to return the favor and take my dad fishing.
