snap weight depths how deep does a 1oz. weight get and so on

Hey guys I am in a debate with some guys on the depth of snap weights. To my knowledge I know that every one oz. of a snap weight will get you aprox. 10 feet down. This other guys says 5 feet, whos right??

According to the Trollers guide Big Lake Edition it is 7 feet per oz. with 50 when you let the lure out 50 clip on the release and let 50 more out. There are a lot of variables. Line diameter, line lenghts and boat speed.

hey thanks the lenths out and such was what I was thinking anyway. I will pass the info along. It was also using 12 lb. test mono.

On oneida we put 44 ft out on a flicker shad attach a 3 oz then let out another 44 ft and clip to a inline board. That taps bottom in 32 fow with 12 lb mono trolling 1.8
