We see the big rooster tails of the bass-rockets flying around, and have had them burn though groups of walleye fisherman, but to tell you if/what they are catching, I do not know.

One of my favorite lakes in NY to bass fish. It fishes many different ways, so you should find a pattern that suits you. For Largies fish really really shallow structure. Smallies can be found around the shoals and drops.

I know you can catch pig smallies fishing for walleye with worm harnesses around shackelton shoals.... like 3-4 pounders. At least that was the case last weekend.

Caught a ton of smallies all last week while fishing for eyes. I jigged the shakleton shoal with my own bucktail jigs and crushed the bass. My feeding minnow and light brown caught fish. Even caught walleye on them. Some of the bass were for sure very close to the 4 pound mark. Most around 2 to 2 1/2 pounds. The big perch liked them too! Made for a nice fish fry!!!:yes:
