I didnt see it in the references but rumor control has it as musky traveled the back rivers in the late 1800's playing banjo music attracting wildmen. er um wildlife he also brought a note pad and observed several of the early sightings1868,1893... so a big thank you bob for all yer hard work and talented playing..
