Great evening trip out of Sandy last night. Cold water everywhere...40 degrees down 70 over 100. Pointed North and all was good. First fish hit at 168ft down 52 where it was 50 degrees. A very acrobatic teen king! Temp was consistently 50 degrees down 50 all over. At that point I pulled one wire and the 10 color core went out with a mag NBK. 10 minutes later a beast started screaming off the core and took me out to 850 ft. Sarah had to turn on him for me. Got it in and my arms were like rocks. Reset and worked the area circling. Pulled a small laker on the 50 rigger and pointed East. Hit another very acrobatic teen king that jumped ten feet behind the boat straight up and spit the hook after a nice battle. The next fish took a mag glow gator off the 57 rigger and went nuts! Love Kings! Got him to the boat and back in he goes. Few minutes later a 10# King hits the 50 rigger and starts dancin and diving all over the lake. Love when the Kings are shallow in the water column! By now we were in 110 and getting dark so I slowly pulled rods and went in. All pics are with me as Sarah just wanted to chill on the boat tonight. 2 of the 3 misses were in shallow early with no one home. Hers some pics. Tight lines, Tank

Thanks for the report Tank. Heading out next week, looks like our kings have showing up. Hopefully they stick around to play for the rest of the summer this year.

Post a report if you make it out, Chris. I should have occasional internet access while I'm bouncing around New England next week.

These kings are takin lessons from steelies on how to impress the air time gods. Same observation I had last week out of the Oak. Fun factor 10  great job!
