best port for July 1,2,and 3rd.

Hello everyone, I plan on heading to lake Ontario for the 1st weeked in july and was woundering which port is usually best during this time. (salmon and bows) I usually fish Wheatly, Erieau and Lake Michigan for bows and salmon,but I feel like changing it up a little bit. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!!!

Do you plan on fishing U.S. or Canadian side of the lake?

If you are fishing the Canadian side, I'd recommend Port Darlington or Whitby.

They held the Scotty KOTL tournament at Whitby this past weekend, so that should be some indication that the fish have arrived there.

I am also wondering this too. I don't really want to drive as far as Whitby if I don't have too... I was hoping Hamilton, or over to Niagra... Anyone have any advice between those two areas?

if your in the GTA area I would also say whitby. We have marina derby going on this weekend so if you plan on fishing and your out on the lake tune to channel 69 and I'm sure you'll hear where all the fishies are that morning/afternoon.

I'm coming from London, so it is a decent hike up to Whitby compared to Hamilton, or Niagra region... But I don't see much in the way of reports coming out of there.

Does Whitby have fireworks on Friday? I was hoping to hook in to some and be out on the boat to watch

Yea were doing them on the lake, I can get you the exact date/time/location by tomorrow, they have a sign out front I just keep forgetting to read what it sais.
