I headed down to Deans's Cove this am..get there at first light if you can

I brought along a buddy from work that had not been in a boat or much less fished in 25 years!! Well we slept in a little and didn't hit the water till mid morning like 8:30ish...try not to do this

The trolling was tough off Dean's, junk in the water, fleas, rolling waves for a while so we picked up and headed a few miles south and set up just north of Shekdrake out deep. Water looked pretty clean and fish were showing up at 60-70 feet down in good numbers.

We nailed this nice LL trolling a chicken wing spoon off 8 colors of leadcore. After some a few incredible jumps out back and an exciting net job we netted him. a chunk at 5lbs and 23 inches

We laker searched all over but tough going for me today.

I want to Thank the much larger boats that gave us plenty of room running past us at high speed..very thoughtful move guys
