Is late afternoon/ evening fishing a bust?

What is the general opinion on late afternoon- evening (after dinner) fishing?

It is one of my favorite times to fish for Bass, etc but Im not sure its that good for trout/salmon. Am I wrong on this one. I have had better luck in the AM than evening but it would seem there should still be a feeding period during the PM. Anybody had any good outings lately in the PM? Thanks BP

I get out whenever I can...but it seems I have had real good luck in the evenings. Seems like just before dark has yielded some real big fish.

or some of older pollocks reports ........usually the big boys`light up near dark

The only time that is better than the last hour of light is the first hour!

If you can fish that hour the sun touches the water go for it. I have had evenings when we catch 6+ fish in the last hour.

11 last hour 2 years ago only happend once ,bout this time of year ,but sunset is berry ,berry ,good

We fish a lot after work 6pm-till dark and it usually is very good. Like other say it seems to really pickup the last hour of daylight.
