Seemed like a struggle this morning for some reason. VHF blew a fuse and Fishhawk once again on the blink. Did a laker and a king about 10 lbs. each. Had two other rips on the wire one bit off the fly :x , that same fly took all 4 hits this am. Fleas are unbelievable. This year I switch to 25# test from 30# test and I'm beginning to think that it was a mistake. The wire is even heavy on the fleas... See ya in a week up to the Adirondacks with the family.

John, I rarely post b/c unfortunately I don't get out much, but when I do I fish 12 and 17 pound test. Try spraying WD40 on the spool. I do and never have much problem with the fleas.

[Finders Keepers]

I run 30lb FleaFlicker main line with 30' of 50lb seaguar fluoro before the lure and have yet to have more than an inch or two of fleas on the line at most by the end of the main line with little to no fleas at the lure, while my divers sometimes have feet of 'em!! Just make sure you have level-wind reels when using FF line, otherwise it gets too twisted!!
