downrigger ball connection question

Does anyone know how I can attach the cable to the swivel at the ball? I know it takes some kind of crimps but I have no clue what kind and where to get them. I had a little incident today where I need to reattach the cable to the ball swivel. I messed up the first 10-15 feet near the ball. Thanks

I personally use the Cannon termination but a lot of guys use the wire knot for their downriggers also.

You can also use Klinchers---every tackle shop carries them and they take seconds to install with no crimps, kinks or knots.

I used the knot but now I'm wondering if I should of tried the super line cabelas is selling for it instead of cable as it tracks straight down and doesn't hum like cable does. Hmmm..

BP the super line is a flea collector like no other I made the mistake of using it and on the second trip with it I was so pissed off by the fleas I changed it back to cable while on the water.
