Small electric motor for canoe

Looking to pick up a motor for my 16ft flat back canoe. Electric preferred so I don"t have to register it.

I've got a old 30lb thrust you can have if you can get a prop for it. Its a transom mount. It was working.

I hate to tell you but if you put a motor even an electric motor on a canoe you will have to register it. I put a small electric motor on a 9.5 foot row boat and got a ticket because it was not registered. The laws may have changed but I am pretty sure that is the deal in NY.
