July 22 to 26 North Shore Questions, Whitby, or Port Hope?

Well, been doing lots of reading here...lots of great advice.

Never been on Lake O before, I have a 21 foot Princecraft rigged with 2 downriggers, (fish mainly inland lakes for trout).

Not sure which Port to fish from, have a choice of Port Hope, Darlington or Whitby. Wondering which is best and which has the best fishing at this time of year?

Looking for the fastest/safest travel time from the launch to fishing grounds?

How will I know where to fish on such big water?

I am planning on using spindoctors with flies? Would there be a better choice of lure?
