Fishing from Shore (Hamilton Area)

Hi everyone,

My boat is docked up in the Haliburton Highlands, but I always get the itch to fish here on my summer holidays. For years I have tried LaSalle Park, Fisherman's Pier, Valley Inn etc. I have tried techniques for just about every fish there is a name for and yet I have had so little success and I consider myself a decent angler.

I've caught a largemouth or two, and some sheephead, but I've been getting skunked like crazy lately. Does anyone have any shore fishing spots, tackle combinations, techniques, etc. that yield half decent results?
