I clamp mine if i cant get to the bathroom first thing, looks silly but it saves a fresh depends.

The knot tbromund is recommending is a simple and VERY effective knot - it holds up and really is a quick knot to do.

I have been using it ever since he recommended it to me.

I also use the knot or tie that Tim posted been using it for years without issue, when your line turns into an Arby's french fry it's time to cut off a few feet and re-do it..at least I do.
