What is a Good line and poundage to use on the Dipsey Diver

2 Weekends ago had a nice king on and we were using 20 pd power pro and it snap the line after about a 5 minute fight. Is that to light or should I go to 30 pd or if wire is better what size does anyone recommend?

Bingo, strong and it you can saw what little fleas collect on it very easiely. 1000ft spool fits on a Diawa 47 perfect.

I use 65# power pro and it's great but you have to make watch it don't bind in the spool when it's pressured by the fish your fighting. U can usually see it b4 hand and it comes from reeling in slack line! It happened to me this weekend with a king on , broke everything off! I see your from Northampton pa I'm in Northampton everyday of the week , would like to talk some fishing sometime!.

50 pound power pro is good, 30 pound wire is good, I fished 2 seasons (200+ trips) and found either to be equally efficacious. I have been using wire this season and will for the next several cause I bought 4/1000 ft spools for $10 each
