SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

First trip to big O in over 2 years, it really felt good to make that trip through the inlet rocks into the water I have grown to live since 2006. Except for a few small issues, like a 360 in the wind that ate my coated dr cable in the kicker prop and losing my tie rod bar between the outboards down to davie jones locker!! Oh and not to mention a lost dipsey , spinnie and hammer glow flie in the mouth of a king, bcuz my power pro binded in a smashing run!!! LOL But not enough to keep me off. Besides it can only get better from here ???? Lol I also want to thank you guys for the great reports to get me on track they saved me time. Again thankyou!!!

I read on a an earlier blog that you need to run out the Pwr Pro behind the boat with something to give you drag, and then reel it all back in under pressure to "pack" the line on the spool.

I did it with an 11 in flasher and it seemed to work ok.

Wow, you are taking it a lot better than I would, I think every other word would be bleeped in my post if I had a day like that.

BTW, we made our tie rod (Ez-Steer) float by putting one of those noodles meant for swimming on it. Works great.
