Dead Saw Bellies

Any one know whats with the thousands of dead 1.5" to 2" Saw Bellies in Sodus Bay?

Didn't notice them over the weekend. Few weeks ago there were tons of dead smelt in the deep water.

a form of botulism kills off many bait fish every year and ya can tell the seagulls that ate them they should be floatin around too..

Ok i was buffy fishin and this big school of bait jumped near my boat and died with envy..

Botulism is what Liberace, and Freddy Mercury died from....................bad pork in the can.

There were quite a few dead seagulls around Sodus Point a few weeks ago. We were joking about floating white chickens.

On wednsday bass fishing around the bay I say a few different places where there were just thousands on top dead, also saw alot of dead baby sunfish and bass mixed in with them. Spoke withthe dec, said they had received a few calls and would possibly be checking it out today.
