Cayuga 08/06/11

Like Nick's post from today Cayuga was the same yesterday ( poor conditions lots of weeds, with fish scattered all over the lake). Jason and I ran two trips, the autopilot ran the whole day and we never stopped clearing weeds and fleas. I would like to thank Rollie who gave us some info on a hot spot for the afternoon trip it saved some hunting. We waded through the weeds and picked up 6 on one pass before we had to run for cleaner waters. Salmon, Two nice Bows and Lakers up to 9lbs hit the net today. We ended the day with 31 fish 15 on the first trip and 16 on the second, nothing like past weeks. We ran a new fly from Big Weenie today- the Reel Hooked Up fly and tested it out against are best producer for the year the Lake O Glow from Big Weenie. The Reel Hooked Up fly smoked the other one taking 12 fish Salmon and Lakers. Ill post a pic of the fly, I would also like to Thank Jason and Big Weenie for taking a design that Jason and I had and putting it on my boat in two days.
