Wow whata day on the water yesterday!!

Little S wind, SUNNY..

Filled with fish, adventure and chaos!!

I got my wire lines tangled just as the sun was setting!!

Ugh!! I lost 70' and 180' off two reels of 1000', so I'm still ok...

Then I bring the boat into Long Point Cayga ramp and the street light is "out"!!

Then my little flashlight died!

At least I know how to work in the dark!

I didn't want to hook up my emergency light cause it would draw too many bugs!!

I got 7 fish ( 6 onboard ) which is Fab!!.. for 3pm to 7:30...

Then they cut off... but I figure the last hour I was dragging around that tangle...

NOTICE::: if you pull out in the dark..

there is light on either end of the -ticket- building up near entrance...

It is not visable from the ramp...

You can pull up there to see the the heck yer doin!

4 Lakers and 2 salmon, 1 hit

West shore right off Sheldrake at 150-350 FOW

Between 50-90'... they were just hitting everything, every depth yesterday.

Got the largest Laker at 70' on purple spin dr and dark flasher (28.5" 8lb)

my 2 salmon were at 50' in 90' FOW and at 90' in 300 FOW

both on purple and just under sized...

I would have kept a legal salmon...

All the fish went back in  ... took no prisoners! LOL...

Dogs were bored that last hour!

I almost went swimming away!! I didn't want to LOSE to a tangle!!

But at least I got my stuff back :yes:

oh.. btw I got really STUCK on bottom at the point.. ran too shallow just south..

I cut the engine, reteived the line I could and then got right over the catch...

and couldn't figure out how to pull the line...

its not like a spinning reel which is easy to hold tight.

So I wrapped the tight line around the net handle 3 times and pulled hard trying to break the leader...

It came off  and I had my tackle attached :clap:

over and out 8)8)

I was told you guys just use a small swival for the joining of wire to mono backing.

I used a "Beckets Bend" to join them. (it's in the fire service for joining two ropes of unequal size)

We tried to pull it apart... using gloves.. it didn't come apart or break...

Nice! I like to leave my tackle on the bottom so that I can do my part to help the economy  Did we show you how to the wire knot?

Its beautify America by decorating the lake bottom with all that shiney stuff. Nice job on the fish its interesting fishing alone.

You gotta let me in on your secret for getting that wiem to sit still in the boat....mine would jump off and probably drown, or just tear my boat to shreds!

Anyways, heres a pic of one of my two girls....she's slightly spoiled we were camping last year up at Pualaski....
