Wondering if anyone could give me some help as to who I need to contact to take the course. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Sea tech offers an amazing course in rochester. Capt. Dennis and his staff are amazing!!

Thank you for the help guys. I see if i can get a friend to go the price is half off. I saw that there is a class coming in jan. and that will work great for me. Thanks again.

I used US Captain's Training for my license and would recommend them. They have classes scheduled in Rochester for October, January and March. They have a nice website with good info as well. Good luck with it.

After the course be ready to get a physical with drug and alcohol tests, get a Transportation Workers Identification Card [more bucks], and if you want to run your own boat, safety equipment, insurance for a commercial boat, sales tax certificate and all the hoops to jump through for that, and a lot of more expenses.

I studied for a week walked in to the coast guard office took the test and walked out with a license.

Oh, and I had experience, that might have helped, but you can buy a license at any of the places listed above.
