Hi. I live in the York region, have never been down to lake Ontario, and do not have a fishing license. To catch 4 fish for a weekend BBQ do I need a license?

I dont have a boat, and since Im new to Ontario, do not have a car yet, so I take the bus. Are there any transit accessible spots on Lake Ontario where I can expect to catch a couple of trout fit for a BBQ?

and yes you need a fishing license

You can get a fishing license for a day or a weekend, cheaply. Take the RTS bus to Charlotte to fish off the pier.
