J-plugs?

Just curious if anybody is getting fish on j-plugs. Also wondering how far back from the ball to put them (my first year with riggers on my boat).

They work best for me 40 to 75 back off the ball and up to 125 back or more when flatlining

Make sure you tie them on and don't use a swivel. Much better action and the plug will slid up the line with a fish on.

Good tip scott! I lost my best rare northport nailer plug being lazy and attching it to a swivel that broke

We fished them Labor Day weekend..... UV green and green ladderback did the best. Our setup was inside riggers with 50-80 ft back and just above the outside riggers. Good luck.
