Fishing Report

LongLine

Out early again on Saturday. ESE wind.

9-17-11Gennya.jpg A few guys on both piers. Had to weave thru a few boats to get out.

Worked in front to the outside of the crowd for a while. Not as many as last weekend. No activity on screen.

Then headed off Russell & worked the 115-140 range. Quite a bit of activity but all right on the bottom.

Temp down 100 in low/mid 60’s. A few of the bigger boats buzzed past & kept going north – out of sight. Word on the squalkbox was that the fish were way out deep. Guess the temp swing drove them back out. Anyways, only 1 laker, about 6 Lbs off the bottom, as line was snapped loose from rigger over 125 FOW. Nk Wonderbread.

Off at 10:30. Little ragboats all over the place. Quite a few trailers in the lot. DEC SUV & trailer also there. Didn’t see their boat though – maybe they went upriver.

Ran the gas out of the carbs. Maybe one more outing this year. Luck to all.

the fish definately moved back out... the piers were hot the past 3 or 4 days... now theres nothing anywhere near them, thanks to these warmer temps. I did see a few big browns cruising the shallows chasing baitfish in front of durand though.
