Today was my 3rd outing since early spring. Knee replacement and OB troubles cut into my fishing this year. Mercury finally stepped up to the plate and replaced my OB after a 2 1/2 year struggle with them, so today was more less a break in for the new engine. I launched out of Tremain and set up about 10 am fished north of Sheldrake and only boated wannabe keeper LLs I found plenty of hooks and bait in the 125' depth. Boated south of Willow Creek and got into a pod of small bows in the 14 to 17" class and was able to release them for another day. Even though it wasn't a boosting day it was refreshing to see the small bows hopefully it is a good sign for the future. Regardless it was a great day to be on the water such a late start could have hurt my productivity. Most of the fish came off 10 color leadcore.

Good meeting you also Steve, the real test will come this winter. This engine has a different sound so after the break in we'll see what happens.
