Black River Area

I am taking 2 young kids up to the black river area for their 2nd year of Salmon fishing, ( last year they caught 4 ), Anyone know how the fishing is in that area, Pulaski was mobbed last year and the Power House wasn't an option. Would appreciate any input or hints. .

Pulaski is all systems go with salmon right now that is about all I can tell ya. I am guessing that the BR should be good as well right now!

The Black River is doing very well, we have a camp there and have done very well the last 4 weeks

we fished there 2 weeks ago out of the bass boat and landed 3 lost one. and saw fish jumping and others cathching a few as well!

Fished it over the weekend went 3/7 not really a lot of fish on the river yet but enough to keep spirits up I will be posting a more detailed report with pics soon any questions fell free to ask as I've been doin this my whole life and would love to help.

Was up in Dexter on Saturday morning, almost no water was flowing over the dam. There were some fish over by the boat launch area but you needed a boat to get in the area where they were. Ended up at a small creek off of Route 3. Kids hooked 2 very nice salmon. Sunday went down to Pulaski at the river, crazy as usual but the kids hooked up often and land 4 so it was a great weekend. Very long walk to get to a not to crowded place.
