Heading to Chautauqua Lake on Saturday to do some musky fishing. Can any one give me a starting point or two and what to use/ colors? Thanks, I appreciate any info.

here's my 2 cents if you're casting. stay in the north basin. i start north of long point and stay in 10fow around warners bar all the way to dewittville bay. try the same depth from chataqua marine south to the bell tower. i like gold blade/brown hair spinnerbaits and bucktails, but jerkbaits are good there too. black suicks. if you're a troller check posts by "mostly muskies" or go the website of the same name. capt. larry posts a lot of good trolling info. good luck to ya.

Old Man has you pointed in the right direction as far as where to go , all I have to add is I have be doing better with natural patterns like Perch and Largemouth Bass than the old reliable black(and black is one of my all time favorites) Good luck!
