Went out this AM on board "My Mink" with Jeremy and Don. Decided to make the run out deep again- about 11 miles. While setting up the second rod, the first rod fired. Was non-stop action for the first 2 hours; then died down. We quit around 9:30 AM and I think we were 12 for 15. Biggest king was around 20 lbs, biggest steelie was just under 10 lbs.

It did not matter what we used- as long as it had green/yellow in it. NBK was by far the best run on the deep rigger.

As of this AM, Jeremy's king is still in first place in the Orleans Derby. My fathers steelie went off the board yesturday.

On another note, a few weeks ago, we were out and we happened to loose a nice king on the wire dipsey- due to a knot I tied pulling out. Since then- both Don and Jeremy have been busting my balls non-stop. It was really upset to learn that they dropped a 30+ lb king right at the back of the boat yesturday- due to one of Don's knots pulling out. Too bad guys!!

FYI- I now have 2 tubes of super-glue on board and I dab a touch on every re-tie of the 50 LB line on the flies and meat rigs.

Good luck to all this week
