I just bought a kicker for my new (used) boat. I would like to run both motors from the same gas tank.

is there some kind of "Y" connector that would allow me to do this?

How do most people accomplish running gas from one tank to to motors?

many thanks,

Get a fuel/water seperater with one input from tank and two outlets to motors.

I run a 2 cycle main and a four stroke kicker this way.

What Glen says usually works.

I have had some problems with the connections and the check valves on the fuel lines. The problem was that air would come into the system from one engine connection and it would cause the other engine to run very rough or stall. that is why I prefer a system with shut off valves so that there does not have to be a constant open connection between the 2 engines. Another possibility is a 2 or 3 way valve with a shut off valve that only allows one connection at a time to be open.

I have had mine this way for 2 years and no problems. I have 5.0L Merc I/0 with a 9.9 Kicker on the same fuel/water separator.

This is what I have on my set up with 150hp 2 stroke and 15hp 4 stroke kicker. Works great the past 5 years.
