I just purchased a 1983 Grady Tournament 190 IO Mercruiser 470. Below is a pic of the area below the deck of my Grady just in front of the doghouse. There is a storage tray that goes here and is removed for the photo. At the right side of the pic you can see two drain holes with the plugs removed. I am guessing here but one must be for the fuel tank compartment in case there was a fuel spill it would hold raw gasoline back from the bilge area and the other must drain this compartment itself from deck water. All of this leading to the rear bilge pump. Can anybody confirm my idea?

My Grady Sailfish with I/O's is setup the same way...likely to be able to isolate the bilge under the engine compartment from a potential fuel spill in the foward compartment.
