Went to Chautauqua today , the day started out pretty slow which was making me nervous because I knew there was a small cold front coming that was going to pass between 1:00 and 2:00. Had one follow at 8:00 am and that was it until 12:30 when I hooked up with a 49" fattie , a couple of deep hard runs and she was in the net . I love fishing solo but man what a handful! Fish the next couple of hours and saw nothing , the front passed at 2:30 and in the back of my mind I thought "that's the end of that". The wind had changed direction from SW to NE but didn't feel much of a temp. drop so I went to an area where I had seen bait earlier At 5:15 hooked up with a very healthy 44"er a quick pic and back to it , 5:35 a thick 38" to finish the day.Water temp is right at 50 , bait much more scattered now some over open water and the rest tight to the weed line. 49 and 38 came on the Perch Prowler and the 44 hit the Walleye.
