I never was a vendor there but I can say this even 4 or 5 years ago, shows like this were costly for the vendors to attend and were questionable as to whether you covered costs. The economy for retailers has been tough since 2005, when gas crossed $3.00 per gallon the first time.

I remember when it was a good show . The differant Companies would clean and repair your reels for free. Alot differant from what it turned into.

Unfortunately, I think your going to see more of these shows disappear. The crowds just aren't there anymore. Not to mention when you want to research something or find something the first place people are going now a days is the internet.

I have done this show the last three years....the last season numbers were way down....especially Saturday afternoon when the Orangemen had a game just down the street.

That being said we had decided to not do this show nor the Hamburg show. We are however taking on doing the Harrisburg Pa show .... 10 days...ugghh! But if you havent seen this show its a sight to behold.

All on all.....sad to see the SY show closed...met a ton of nice folks there! Always enjoyed doing it.....
