nice to see other guys out there taking advantage of he sea ducks on lake O. had a good season so far on them lot of brant passed through this year too....some good ducks are starting to finally come down seeing decent numbers of mallards and bills

I enjoy hunting sea ducks but was wondering if you know of a good way to eat them. I've tried a few recipes but none have panned out. Best I've done so far is to grind them and mix with some pork and make into sausage or jerky.

brine them. a decent brine can almost make mergansers worth eating.

i eaither cut them into thin strips roll them in flower deep fry and put some buffalo sauce on them or sausage them too...
