So used to fishing off cleveland/huron/vermillion at night, wondering whether there is a night bite off hoaks, windmills, etc.? Kgonefishing (an avid walleye/salmon guy) turned me onto the nightbite in ohio. Figured, hey, why not troll stick bait hooks in the southtowns. Am I goofy?

Wallleyes inhabit the shore line when the water surface temperature is below 65 degrees, like now. After 65 they are generally out deeper unless there is an upwelling event. We fished all the way into Late December near the Donnelly Breakwater at the head of the river even when the ice covered the windshield at night. That was when we were younger and more foolish.
