Good to know. I'm supposed to join a friend's annual walleye charter on Lake Erie next year.

Almost all walleyes over 25 inches are females, have the highest contaminant levels and are good to keep the population going. Eat smaller ones or better yet eat perch, they feed on walleye fry and minnows.

Its all driven by water temps right? The key is having quinte below 40. Above 40 and fishing seems to slow down.

I have many days up there where the water temp is around 50 that have been double digit fish days mark
